Stephen T. "Steve" Jurvetson (born March 1, 1967) is an American businessman and venture capitalist. He is currently a partner of Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ). He was a venture capitalist investor in Hotmail. He also led the firm's investments in Tradex and Cyras (acquired by Ariba and Ciena, respectively). As a consultant with Bain & Company, Jurvetson developed executive marketing, sales, engineering and business strategies for a wide range of companies in the software, networking, and semiconductor industries. He first joined DFJ after his second year of business school, and became a partner after proving his talent on several investments.
